ABOUT US:

I am Jacqueline Asher, owner of Tijeras Naturals- Tijeras Organic Alchemy in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our mission is to provide and maintain the finest quality, high-performing personal care products for our consumers.

HERE IS HOW WE BEGAN:

In the early 1970s, a man came to my salon with hopelessly unhealthy and severely brittle hair. His hair reminded me of a parched desert plant, pleading for a drop of water. I made a deal with him: if he would shampoo daily, using the products I recommended according to the product directions for two weeks, he would see tremendous results.Two weeks later, he returned to show me the transformation. Not only was his hair shiny and healthier, but new growth was appearing. His experience reinforced my conviction that there was a market for a natural hair-care line that did not just make promises but gave measurable results.

OUR PRODUCTS:

I developed my first hair-care line with all natural ingredients: shampoo, conditioner, and deep penetrating revitalizer (conditioner).

Tijeras means:
Tijeras (tee-HAIR-ahs):  "scissors" in Spanish.
Organic/Natural: purity of ingredients
Tijeras combines salon performance with certified organic ingredients

New Mexico 's dramatic, high-desert plateaus provide the perfect inspiration for Tijeras Personal  Hair and Skin-care Products. The arid Southwest climate, with its wide variance of temperatures, hard water, and intense solar UV rays, gave me direction for choosing specific ingredients. I knew if I developed products that would give visible results in the harshest of environments, they would work successfully in all environments. My instincts held true.

Over the years, we have tested our products on clients of all nationalities with all types of hair including color treated, permed, and sun damaged. We have researched nature's bounty and chosen plants and herbs that offer exceptional protective qualities unsurpassed by synthetic counterparts. The plants and herbs we use in our products are plentiful and leave no traces of harmful wastes.

OUR SERVICES:

My daughter, Elizabeth Asher, is an integral part of our company.With her background as an educator and consultant for major international companies such as Perma of Paris and Logics, she has taken an active part in Tijeras's product development. Elizabeth also communicates innovative information through our monthly newsletter, Tijeras Health and Beauty News.

We now provide skin-care products as well as hair-care products. Elizabeth and I are personally involved in the research of ingredients and the development of our products. We ensure that all products are biodegradable, and we provide education programs to support our consumers.
